From the Desk of: Victoria Kinkade
As a woman, and the CEO of Lucky 6 Productions, I am honored to be at the helm of one of only 18% of independent film companies owned/managed by a woman in Hollywood today. It’s an honor and a privilege that I hope to see expanded upon in the future. It’s an exciting time in the film industry, and the landscape is evolving in ways that were once unimaginable.
Despite the strides women have made, it’s no secret that the film industry has historically been male-dominated, with women often facing systemic barriers and discrimination. From unequal pay to limited opportunities for advancement, the challenges for women in Hollywood have been all too real. However, rather than dwelling on these obstacles, Lucky 6 Productions has chosen to focus on breaking down barriers and forging new paths forward. Our company is committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity both in front of and behind the camera. Teamwork is our core.
At L6P we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire change, challenge stereotypes, and spark meaningful conversations. Our mission is to resonate with our audiences – from thought-provoking dramas to heartwarming comedies, from fantastic fantasy and out of this world science fiction to scary horror and exciting thrillers – we aim for our films to celebrate the richness and diversity of the human experience.
While the road to success may not always be easy, independent film production companies like Lucky 6 are proof that anything is possible with passion, perseverance, and a shared vision. As we continue to push boundaries and challenge the status quo, I am confident that the future of Hollywood will be brighter, more diverse, and more inclusive than ever before.
